FloraHolland is one of those typically Dutch companies that everyone has heard of, but which hasn’t made the top 10 of employers so far. Despite the fact that it is actually a company of global proportions. FloraHolland trades internationally, 24 hours a day, and is the third main port of the Netherlands, after Schiphol and the Port of Rotterdam. These are impressive numbers, which we want to portray in a modern way.
We decided to focus on (young) professionals and show them FloraHolland’s scale of operation and the professional challenges involved. Together with CleverºFranke en UsMedia, we developed a recruitment-website that for each field of work shows how big that particular division within FloraHolland is. A world of information opens up through dynamic infographics. Visitors of the website get a feel for the global scale of the company, as well as for its role as middle-man or gateway. The entire website is focused on the theme: working for the flower auction of the world.
One specific recruitment target group are the redistributors. Every day, hundreds of these men and women work in different locations to make sure that the flowers and plants that have just been auctioned reach their buyers. No easy task, for which you need to be able to work independently, quickly and well-structured. One additional criteria: you need to be an early riser! For this target group, we created an interactive 360 degrees video (together with Yellowbird) in which you can see your colleagues at work. The only catch is that the video can only be seen between 6 am and 12 noon. If you’re late, you need to get up early the next day to watch it.
